Mine really are the size of golf balls. I tweaked both parts of the recipe, adding Italian seasonings and lots of garlic (fresh, garlic powder, roasted garlic). The recipe claims the meat mixture makes about 14 meatballs. Well, I made them the 2 inches suggested in the recipe and there were 24 meatballs when I finished!
